Police search for stolen pickup truck

Chatham-Kent police are asking you to be on the lookout for a blue 2005 Toyota Tundra that was stolen from a residence on Talbot Trail in Howard Township.

Police said it taken sometime between 10 p.m. Thursday and 8:20 a.m. Friday.

It was last seen with the Ontario licence plates 5709JR.

Harassment charge laid against local woman

A 48-year-old Chatham woman is charged with criminal harassment in connection with a police investigation into a domestic-related offence.

Officers said the investigation took place Thursday afternoon.

The woman who is charged was arrested and then later released with conditions and a future court date.

-------------- Two men charged with being drunk in public

Two Chatham men spent the night in a cell at police headquarters after they were booked for public intoxication Thursday.

CK police said a 20-year-old man was arrested on Sheldon Avenue in Chatham and a 55-year-old man was arrested at a McDonald's in Chatham.

Both of them were taken into custody for their own safety and were expected to be released once they sobered up.

Chatham teen charged with drug possession

A 17-year-old youth is facing a pair of charges after police picked him up while he was riding a bike on Thames Street in Chatham early Thursday morning.

Police said they arrested the youth because he was out past his court-mandated curfew.

While officers were searching the teen, they allegedly found some methamphetamine.

A 17-year-old Chatham youth was charged with breaching his probation and drug possession and released with conditions and a future court date.
