Two people learned the hard way that police are serious when they say to stay away from each other.

Chatham-Kent police were called to investigate a dispute in Thamesville shortly after 10pm Friday. Once there, police learned that both parties involved were on bail conditions to not associate with each other.  As a result, a 32 year old male was arrested for breach of recognizance and resisting arrest, while a 21 year old female was arrested for breach of undertaking and on a warrant for failing to attend court.  Both parties were held for bail.

Police arrested a teenage girl for being drunk in public.

Officers arrested a 14-year-old girl in the York St. area of Ridgetown around 3:30pm Friday, on a charge of public intoxication.

She was later released from custody.

Chatham-Kent police arrested at least two people Friday for offences related to warrants and probation.

A 28-year-old man was arrested around 7am in Wallaceburg for breaching probation. At noon, a 41-year-old man was taken into custody in downtown Chatham on a warrant for failing to attend court.

Both suspects are being held pending bail hearings.
