Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man wanted for assaulting a cop.

On Saturday, police arrested a man on a warrant for unlawfully living in a dwelling, resisting arrest, and assaulting a police officer.

He was released with a later court date.

Police are investigating after a Chatham business was broken into.

Officers went to the business on Lacroix St. in Chatham on Saturday to find signs that a break and enter had occurred.

Police contained the area and deployed the canine unit.

It is still unknown what was stolen and the incident is being investigated.

Chatham-Kent police say a man spent time behind bars after being found intoxicated in public.

Police responded to the area of A D Shadd Rd. in North Buxton for a man who was intoxicated and unable to care for himself.

He was arrested and held until sober.
