Two Break and Enters in Chatham

It appears suspects have different, but still expensive taste as police say various tools and copper wire were stolen in once instance, while jewelry and a laptop were taken in another.

According to a police release, the first happened between 9 p.m. on July 5 and 7 a.m. July 6 in Chatham. The tools and wire were stolen from a shed.

Officers said the second break and enter happened between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 6 and the good were stolen from from a home on McNaughton Ave. after forcible entry.

Man Charged with Breaching his Curfew 

Police said a man was caught breaching his conditions and staying out after 9 p.m.

According to officers, he received the conditions Nov. 12, 2017 after being released from court.

Police on patrol found him at 9:30 p.m. Friday, on Edgar St. in Chatham.

Police said they arrested the 19-year-old Chatham man and charged him with failing to comply.  The man has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
