CK Youth Festival Set For Saturday

Tecumseh Park in Chatham will be filled with kids on Saturday for the CK Youth Festival.

It's the tenth year for the annual event.

"Tons of inflatables, face painting, all sorts of good stuff going on at the park for families," says Kelly Bachus, the facility and program development supervisor for Chatham-Kent Recreation. "As well as one-stop-shop for what's going on in Chatham-Kent this summer for families. You can gather all that information ahead of time and try and make your plan for your children, and what your family's going to go this summer."

All of the groups running information booths will also be offering up activities.

"Each of our areas this year will have an interactive activity for the kids," says Bachus. "So each booth that's offering something, we ask that they kind of showcase what are doing throughout the summer. So they'll have some interactive activities there for the kids to take part in as well."

Bachus says they will have 18 inflatables for the kids to play on.

"That's going to be taking up a huge part of it," she says. "We will have our CK Play Rangers big truck there, it hasn't really been introduced out into the community, so that will be something new this year. Then, as always, we have tons of face painters."

The free event runs from 11am-3pm.
