Two Men Charged With Theft
Chatham-Kent police say two men in their 40s are facing charges after some tools were stolen from a construction project on Grand Ave. in Chatham over the weekend.
Police say the alleged victim had placed numerous power tools on a table Saturday morning and later called police when he noticed they had been stolen.
Officers say they were able to identify the two men responsible and arrested them Monday night.
A 40-year-old man and a 48-year-old man are both charged with theft and possession of stolen property.
You Can’t Talk To Her
A 24-year-old Sarnia man is in trouble with police after he allegedly tried to convince a Wallaceburg woman to drop some domestic-related charges against him.
Officers say that was a violation of his release conditions, which required him not to contact her or communicate with her.
In addition to being charged with failing to comply with his release conditions, the accused is also charged with attempting to obstruct justice.
Drunk In Public
Police say they arrested a 24-year-old man in Chatham Monday afternoon who was too drunk to take care of himself.
Officers say they took him into custody for his own safety after getting a call about an intoxicated man in the area of Dover St. and Kent St.
He was charged with being drunk in public and released when he sobered up.
