Lally Kia in Chatham is giving away a Kia Forte to a lucky "Over the Edge" participant who raises $1,000.
"Over the Edge" is a rappelling fundraiser for the new Chatham-Kent Children’s Treatment Centre building on McNaughton Ave.
Foundation Executive Director Mike Genge says it's a great way to give back to those who are helping the centre realize its dream.
"People are constantly giving. We have a great community and I'm never surprised by the generosity of the people," says Genge.
On June 23, 91 people will be able to rappel down the side of the 10 storey Holiday Inn Express and Suites near Richmond St. and Keil Dr.
Lally Kia General Manager Michael Weber is going over the side and says the dealership wanted to help the event.
"It's great to support the community and to showcase the world-class product that we have here at the dealership," he says.
Weber says it's easy to support the Children's Treatment Centre and the generous community of Chatham-Kent.
"Listen, anything that you can do to support the community that supports you is a good thing," says Weber.
