Break and Enter

Break and enter charges have been laid against a 33-year-old Wallaceburg man.

Police say they responded to a break-in in Wallaceburg on Thursday. Several tools and fishing equipment were stolen from the victim’s garage.

The Murray St. man is charged with break and enter and possession of stolen property.

Mischief in Chatham

Chatham-Kent police are looking for some trouble-makers who smashed up a Chatham business.

Investigators say sometime between Saturday at 5pm and Sunday at 10am, someone cut a hole in the fence of a business on Colborne St. and smashed the windows of two parked trucks. Total damage is pegged at $1,200 but nothing was stolen.

Impaired Driving

A 51-year-old Chatham woman has been charged with drunk driving following a two-vehicle crash.

Police say the collision happened near Bloomfield Rd. and Eighth Line Sunday night.

No one was injured but damage is estimated at $5,000.

Vehicle Collision

A 75-year-old Chatham man has been charged with failing to stop for a red light after a two-vehicle collision in Chatham.

Police say the crash took place Sunday afternoon on William St. near Park St.

Nobody was injured.

Total damage is estimated at $10,000.
