TekSavvy Donates $100K For New Hospital Equipment

The Foundation of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) is another step closer to completing a campaign to purchase new equipment for the local hospital.

TekSavvy Solutions Inc. has donated $100,000 to the foundation as part of a $6.9-million Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal Campaign.

“This donation is supporting equipment that will advance information sharing to physicians for quicker and more accurate diagnosis, “ says Spencer Antaya, a strategic partnerships and sponsorships manager with TekSavvy. “We are investing in equipment that will serve the community where many of our employees and our customers live.”

The foundation announced last week that it is in need of $1-million to complete the campaign by May 28.  The funds raised will be put towards the purchase of a needed CT scanner.

"With only two months remaining in our fundraising efforts, this donation will have a significant impact on local healthcare for our community," says foundation Executive Director Mary Lou Crowley.

To date, 13 new ultrasounds, a bone densitometer, and a new digital mammography machine have been installed through the funds raised by the community.
