The Chatham Maroons edged the LaSalle Vipers 2-1 on Thursday to force Game 7 of their playoff series.
Dane Johnstone scored for the Maroons 55 seconds into the first period, but the Vipers struck back in the second with Aidan Ryan scoring a goal to tie things up heading into the third.
Justin Badour scored the game-winner for Chatham 12:35 into the final frame.
"All 20 guys working together as a team -- when we got that going, we're pretty well unstoppable," says Badour. "It was a good job by our guys staying disciplined, staying focused and doing our jobs out there."
The two teams will face off one final time for Game 7 on Sunday. The puck drops at 7:30pm in LaSalle.
