'I'm Going To Spend It Wisely'

A 37-year-old Chatham man has won big in this year’s "Roll Up the Rim to Win" contest at Tim Hortons.

Alan Hudson won a $5,000 CIBC prepaid card at the 41 Park Ave. E store.

The contest has 36-million prizes, including 50 2018 Honda Civic sedans, 500 Tim Hortons free coffees for a year, 100 $5,000 CIBC prepaid cards, 50,000 $50 Tim gift cards, and millions of latte, coffee, and food prizes.

Hudson says he'll spend his winnings wisely but has no firm plans for the money.

"I come here two or three times a day and I usually win a coffee or donut or something and then this one popped up," says Hudson.

Hudson says this is the biggest prize he's won since he started playing the contest years ago.

"All I gotta say is it's not rigged. It's not rigged. Everybody believes it is but no," he says.

The 'Roll Up the Rim to Win' contest runs until March 28, or while cup supplies last. Prizes may be claimed until April 20.
