Two Arrests On Outstanding Warrants

Chatham-Kent police say they arrested a pair of wanted criminals in Chatham Monday afternoon.

Officers say a 23-year-old man from Howard Township who was wanted for break and enter and weapons offences was picked up by police while he was walking on Scane St. in Chatham just before the noon-hour.

In a separate case, a 24-year-old Chatham woman was arrested on Raleigh St. at around 5:45pm Monday on outstanding warrants for assault, assault causing bodily harm, and breaching her probation.


Broken Laptop Leads To Arrest

A 27-year-old Toronto man is charged with mischief after police allege he damaged his girlfriend’s laptop Monday night.

Officers say they arrested the man after responding to a domestic disturbance in Chatham.


Drunk Teen Arrested In Ridgetown

An 18-year-old man from the Kawartha Lakes region is being held in police custody until he sobers up.

Officers say the Woodville teen was spotted on Ebenezer St. in Ridgetown at around 1:30am Tuesday. Police say he was taken into custody for his own safety and was charged with being intoxicated in a public place.


Break And Enter In Chatham

Chatham-Kent police are appealing to the public for tips as they try to track down a suspect in connection with a break-in on Timmins Cres. in Chatham.

Police say someone broke into a residence there sometime between 6:30pm Sunday and 6:30pm Monday and took off with about $4,000 worth of various items.
