Toddler Recovering After Frightening Dog Attack

Chatham-Kent police say a 3-year-old boy who had been attacked by two dogs in Wallaceburg is still being treated at a hospital in Michigan. However, the toddler's condition is improving.

The boy was attacked while tobogganing at Jaycee Park Monday evening.

According to a GoFundMe page set up, the boy has had an eye surgery and is expected to remain in the hospital for about a week. The child also needed several stitches on his face and leg.

As of Wednesday morning, donations have totaled more than $13,000.

There's no word on what will happen with the dogs. According to theGoFundMe account the boy was attacked by two American bull dogs.

It's unknown if charges will be laid as the incident is currently under investigation.
