Maroons Brush Past Lincolns 7-4

The Chatham Maroons topped the St. Marys Lincolns 7-4 in GOJHL action on Friday.

The Lincolns drew first blood early in the game, but Grant Spence and Josh Supryka each scored once to give the Maroons a 2-1 lead heading into the second period.

Aaron Jacobs and Steven Fowler scored the only goals of the second to bring Chatham's advantage to 4-1.

St. Marys battled back in the final period to score twice in just over 11 minutes to come within one goal of Chatham.  Supryka scored his second of the night second later, but the Lincolns continued to stay right on Chatham's heels with their fourth goal of the night after 14:41.

Bryce Yetman scored two back-to-back goals in the last three minutes of the game to ensure the win for the Maroons.

Maroons goaltender Lucas Patton made 34 saves out of 38 shots on net.

The Maroons are back on home ice on Sunday to take on the Leamington Flyers. The puck drops at 7pm.
