Another $10,000 has been donated to the Foundation of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance and their Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal Campaign.
The cheque was presented on Monday by representatives from the Sydenham District Hospital Auxiliary.
The money was raised through numerous fundraising initiatives, and includes the proceeds from the Serendipity Gift Shop at the Wallaceburg site of the CKHA.
“These funds are supporting the purchase of two new ultrasounds for CKHA's Wallaceburg site," says Mary Lou Crowley, executive director for the Foundation of CKHA.
To date, the Sydenham District Hospital Auxiliary has contributed more than $33,000 towards the $6.9-million CKHA Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal Campaign.
More than $5.6-million has been raised so far for the campaign. The money will be used to purchase 18 new pieces of equipment for the CKHA Chatham and Wallaceburg sites.
