Police Briefs – Thursday December 28, 2017

Chatham-Kent police are looking for help identifying a woman who filled up her vehicle without paying.

Police say the suspect went to Mac’s Convenience Store gas bar on Queen St. in Tilbury, around 3am Thursday.

She pumped $50 worth of gas into a dark blue Dodge Caravan and drove off without paying.

Police say the woman was wearing a black winter coat, dark maroon leggings, red mittens, and purple running shoes.

A 48-year-old Chatham woman has been charged with public intoxication.

Police say the woman was found just outside the Kent Motel in Chatham around 2:30am.

Officers say she was unable to take care of herself so she was taken into police custody. The woman was held until she was sober.
