Maroons Double Lincolns 4-2

The Chatham Maroons topped the St. Marys Lincolns 4-2 in GOJHL action on Friday.

The Maroons scored a 2-0 lead in the first period with back-to-back goals by Bryce Yetman and Jordan Frasca.

The Lincons scored early in the second to cut Chatham's lead in half, but Grant Spence scored for the Maroons with just over five minutes left in the frame to make it 3-1.

St. Marys came out of the gate in the third period with a goal 3:35 into the frame. However, the Maroons kept the Lincolns at bay for for the rest of the game and Yetman scored his second of the night to ensure the win.

"We've been kind of hit and miss with wins and losses, so we're just trying to find that consistency," says Yetman regarding Friday night's victory. "We looked good out there tonight and hopefully Sunday we can come out the same."

Maroons goalie Ryan Wagner made 28 saves out of 30 shots on net.

The Maroons return home on Sunday to take on the St. Thomas Stars at 7pm.
