A flood alert has been issued by the Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority for the Lake Erie shoreline.
"Strong wind on Friday will cause high waves similar to those that caused flooding earlier this year along Erie Shore Dr. in Chatham-Kent but less than those experienced earlier this week," the LTVCA says in a statement. "There is a risk that wave action could damage the shoreline and cause erosion, especially for those areas affected earlier this week."
People, pets and livestock should avoid the shoreline.
This flood alert will be in effect until Saturday.
The authority says stronger winds next Monday will likely trigger another advisory this weekend.
