CKHA Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal Campaign Closer To Its Goal

The Public General Hospital Foundation has donated $600,000 to the Foundation of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for diagnostic imaging equipment.

The campaign now stands at $5.3-million.

The campaign was launched in 2014 with a goal of raising $6.9-million to buy critically needed diagnostic imaging equipment.

Candice Jeffrey, director of development for the Foundation of CKHA, says the donation allows better access to all patients.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have the support of the PGH Board as we move forward in this campaign,” says Jeffrey. “Almost every department in the hospital utilizes the DI department when providing treatment to patients, and this $600,000 support brings us much closer to our fundraising goal.”

“Although the diagnostic imaging department is located outside of the PGH wing of the Chatham campus, we recognize the department impacts all areas of the hospital,” says Charlene Weber, vice chair, Public General Hospital Foundation.  “The equipment being supported by the Foundation of CKHA’s campaign has the potential to benefit every person in Chatham-Kent, and we are proud to support this initiative.”

The Foundation of CKHA took over activities from the Public General Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital and Sydenham District Hospital Foundations in 1998.

The CKHA Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal Campaign is expected to end in March.
