Dresden Driver Can't Elude CKPS

Chatham-Kent police have charged a 27-year-old Dresden man with several driving offences after a brief police chase.

On Sunday at around 3:30pm, an officer on Base Line just north of Kent Bridge Rd. saw a vehicle with no license plates and tried to stop it but the vehicle sped away.

The officer also saw the vehicle weave in and out of traffic. The chase was stopped because the officer believed it to be too dangerous.

However, 20 minutes later another officer stopped the vehicle on Base Line.

The accused is charged with fleeing a police officer, dangerous operation of a vehicle, driving while suspended, and driving without insurance and without license plates.
