Police Briefs – July 29, 2017
Police have arrested a Chatham man for threatening his ex-wife and damaging her vehicle.
On July 19, 2017, a 37-year-old man was allegedly intoxicated and making threats to injure his ex-wife while she was picking up their daughter.
According to police, the man also struck her car several times, causing several hundred dollars of damage.
This incident was reported to police and the man was arrested on Friday. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
Police have arrested a Chatham man for failing to attend court.
Police say on March 9, 2017, a 26-year-old man was in custody for arson-related offences and released by the Chatham Courthouse with a future court date. According to police, on July 12, 2017, the man failed to attend court and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Police found the man Friday night in London, Ontario and transported him to Chatham to be held for a bail hearing.
Chatham-Kent police have arrested a woman wanted for a home invasion.
Police say on July 13, 2017, a 39-year-old Chatham woman invaded a home on on Colborne St. She fled the area before police arrived and a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Police say they found the woman Friday night and arrested her for robbery, administering a harmful substance and possession of stolen property. She was held in custody for a bail hearing.
