Positivity Day Promotes Good Deeds In CK

Positivity Day is coming back to Chatham-Kent even bigger than it was last year.

Event Co-Chair Darrin Canniff says they'll be extending the celebrations out over 12 days in September with a new theme for each day.

Neighbour Day will kick things off on Labour Day Monday (September 4), followed by several others including Agriculture Day, Seniors Day, and First Responders/Healthcare Day.

There are plenty of ways for people of all ages and walks of life to take part.

Some of the suggestions for individuals include donating blood, planting a tree or visiting a seniors home.

Groups can host a community barbecue, plant a garden or build a playground and businesses can organize a food drive or support a local charity.

The event starts September 4 and wraps on September 15 with a big celebration at the Capitol Theatre in Chatham.
