Rodeo Goes Friday Night In Pain Court

Before the fireworks shows start Friday night, bucking broncos and courageous cowboys will be putting on a show in Pain Court.

The Ultimate Rodeo Tour starts its show at 6:30pm.

It's one of Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers' biggest annual fundraising events.

"They do all the traditional rodeo events -- they do bareback riding, saddleback riding, pole bending, barrel racing and of course, bull riding," says Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers co-ordinator Dave Bakker. "It's right up close -- every seat is right there basically at the fencing."

Bakker also wants to clarify that all of the profits from the event stay in the community.

"We do rely on them to come in and help us raise funds for our program -- I have been asked that several times," says Bakker. "All of the funds that we raise because of the rodeo stay here and help us to pay our rewards for our tipsters and to promote our program."

The gates open at 5:30pm under the water tower in Pain Court and tickets are available at the door.
