CKHA Honours Donors, Volunteers

The Foundation of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) honoured several of its donors and volunteers at its Annual General Meeting Wednesday.

More than 20 new donors were recognized for giving more than $5,000 in the past year and 16 donors achieved the next "giving level" through the Foundation of CKHA's Donor Recognition Program.

Two awards were also handed out at the event -- one for volunteerism and one for sponsorship.

Long-time Foundation of CKHA volunteers Victoria and Jim Heyninck were presented with the Janet Cook Outstanding Volunteer Award while OLG was honoured with the Outstanding Sponsor Award.

Three members of the Foundation's Board of Directors were also recognized during the evening.

Incoming Chair Gaye Thompson was presented with a five-year pin, retiring member Tim Bossence was presented with a ten-year pin for his time on the MRI Campaign Cabinet and his time on the board, and Past Chair Dr. Cassie Harnarine was awarded a 15-year service pin.
