UPDATE: Canadian Confirmed Among London Dead

Canadian officials confirm that a British Columbia woman is among the dead in Saturday's deadly terror attacks in London, England.

The family of Christine Archibald, a native of Castlegar, BC, has confirmed the death in a statement.  Her family says Archibald had moved to Britain to be closer to her fiancé.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also confirmed the news in a statement issued Sunday.

In the attack at London Bridge, reports and witnesses say a white van plowed into a crowd of pedestrians before three men with large knives exited the vehicle and began attacking people.

Police have reported seven deaths and at least 48 people injured.

Metropolitan Police shot and killed the three suspects on scene.

British officials are treating the incidents as acts of terrorism.

The British Conservative and Labour parties have announced they're suspending national campaigning on June 8th due to the attacks.

British Prime Minister Theresa May says it's not clear whether campaigning with resume in the final days before the vote.
