Holmes Crowned In The Dominican

Chatham-Kent’s Kerilyn Holmes is sporting a new sash and crown, to show off her latest accomplishment at the Miss Canada Petite International competition.

Holmes recently won the title of Miss Petite Beauty International 2017/2018, while competing in the Dominican Republic.

“It feels good," she says. “It still hasn’t fully sunk in yet but it’s really exciting.”

With her new title, Holmes says she’ll be making appearances in various locations throughout the year.

“It gives me a chance to use [this title] in the community to raise awareness for things like my charity [Pet and Wildlife Rescue],” she says. “Being a vegetarian, I’m very passionate about animal rights.”

Once her reign as Miss Petite Beauty International is finished at the end of the year, Holmes can opt to continue competing, however, she says that’s something she hasn’t quite decided on yet.

For now, Holmes will focus on promoting her title and promoting pageants in general.

“I am recruiting girls for Miss Canada Globe 2017/2018,” she says. “If any girls are interested they can contact me and [I’ll pass] their information along to head office.”

Holmes says the best way to contact her is through Facebook. You can find her Facebook page by clicking here.
