First Ever Union Gas Survey Coming

Union Gas is conducting its first ever customer survey to get feedback on consumer needs and preferences.

Communications Manager Andrea Stass says the information will be incorporated into the business planning to develop the multi-year rate application to the Ontario Energy Board beginning in 2019, adding "it's a longterm rate framework that's usually between 3 and 5 years."

Stass says this consultation will help Union Gas ensure alignment between its operational and capital investment plans along with customer needs and preferences.

The online questionnaire runs until March 15th and can be found at UnionGasPlans.ca or a link at uniongas.com.

Union Gas customers who complete the questionnaire are eligible to enter a draw for one of four $500 prizes.

"It helps us explain to the regulator and others what our customers views are and how they match with the plans that we have," says Stass, adding that the public feedback helps the company plan for the future.

Stass adds it's the first time for the survey and hopes it leads to good, useful information, adding "we're going to incorporate the findings of this survey into the next application to the Ontario Energy Board...for the period of 2018 forward."
