The Salvation Army is inviting people to buy toques and other items to help the homeless.
Captain Stephanie Watkinson says purchasing a $10 or $20 toque, ball cap, mitts or socks will help support finding long-term solutions to homelessness.
Watkinson says, each year, people can buy toques from January until the end of March and help the homeless find affordable housing and jobs
"We have suits so we're able to outfit men as they're going for interviews to help them remain housed, because they'll be able to get jobs," she says.
The Salvation Army in Chatham is open daily between 8:30am and 4:30pm.
Raising the Roof's annual Toque Tuesday was February 7.
"There's a homeless problem in our country and there are multiple organizations working towards a solution," says Watkinson.
Watkinson says 50% of the sales stay in Chatham-Kent to help the homeless find affordable housing.
