The Food Network Canada may feature a familiar face on one of its shows -- especially if you live in Chatham-Kent.
Kelsey Zimmer is one of the contestants on Teen Chopped Canada, which will air in February.
Filming for the show took place last June -- right around the time Zimmer was finishing up school at Ursuline College in Chatham.
Part of the show involves getting to know the contestants so some filming was done in Chatham at Zimmer's grandmother's house.
Being a fan of the show, Zimmer says she first applied to be a contestant a couple of years.
"Two years ago I applied and I had gotten a request for a phone interview and they were happy with that so a few days later they asked me to come to Toronto for an in-person interview," says Zimmer. "Unfortunately I didn't make it through that year."

But one year later, Zimmer applied again and was accepted onto the show.
Looking back on her experience, Zimmer says it was very unique and taught her to think on the spot while in the kitchen.
"My experience on the show was definitely very hard but it was definitely worth all the hard work I had to put in," she says. "It was one of the best things I've ever done."
Zimmer is now enrolled in her first year of the bakery and pastry art program at SAIT in Calgary.
This being her first on-air cooking competition, Zimmer says she may do another competition in the future.
"I've definetly thought of doing something similar [to Teen Chopped Canada]," says Zimmer. "There's lots of other cooking competitions that I've seen and I think I'd like to try one again."
Teen Chopped Canada featuring Zimmer will air on February 4 at 9pm.
