The Ministry of Transportation says part of eastbound Hwy. 401 was scheduled to be closed in Chatham-Kent on Wednesday.
But multiple reports from motorists indicate there is no construction taking place and no crews are at the scene.
Ministry officials say both eastbound lanes were supposed to be shutdown for construction in the left lane from Merlin Rd. to Bloomfield Rd., from 11am until 5pm Wednesday.
