Volunteers Honoured By Chatham Goodfellows

The Chatham Goodfellows honoured a number of volunteers during their 62nd annual general meeting on Thursday.

Dean and Barb Mills of No Frills on Queen St.  in Chatham received the President’s Award for being a valued supplier for more than 20 years. Chatham Goodfellows needs around 500-700 banana boxes each year to hold perishable and non-perishable food, and Dean and Barb have provided those boxes year after year.

The Goodfellows inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award was given to employees at Union Gas.  Union Gas has been involved with Chatham Goodfellows as far back as 1975, supporting the organization with a number of fundraising events throughout the years.

As well, the 2016 Mrs./Mr. Goodfellow recipients were Brian Cox, Angela Scott and Bridget Cox of Union Gas, who have had a volunteer leadership role for the organization since 2009.
