Thanks to the fourth annual Chatham-Kent Pumpkin Run, over $25,000 has been raised in support of the Diagnostic Imaging Department at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.
On Sunday, over 250 walkers and runners of all ages gathered at Rondeau Provincial Park for the Pumpkin Run, which featured a 5 km walk, 5 km run, 10 km run and a 100 m "‘Lil Pumpkin Kids Dash."
Prizes were awarded to the top fundraisers at the event, including Lisa Bisschop of Chatham and Keith Graham of Rondeau who tied as the top fundraisers, raising $3,400 each. The top fundraising team was the "Rondeau Roadies," who raised a total of $4,000.
Last year, the Chatham-Kent Pumpkin Run raised $16,500.
All of the funds raised will go to the CKHA Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal Campaign for the purchase of new equipment for the Diagnostic Imaging Department. To date, more than $4-million has been raised for the campaign.
