Over 50K Raised For The Children's Treatment Centre

The Fabulous Festival of Golf exceeded expectations by raising $53,000 for The Children's Treatment Centre Foundation.

Manager of Communications and Fundraising Shelby Sanchuk says this is the first time they've hosted an event like this, and it went fantastic.

"We had over 144 golfers, along with about 50 or 60 volunteers," says Sanchuk. "Things went really, really well."

The vegas-styled golf tournament took place September 16, at The Willow Ridge Golf & Country Club in Blenheim.

"The golfers were so excited all day," says Sanchuk.

Adding, at different areas around the course there were either gaming or beverage stations.

"We had a blackjack table on the golf course, a sangria bar, a couple different craft breweries, a whiskey tasting station, a cigar station, and again a few other games," says Sanchuk.

But the fun didn't end once the golfers stepped off the course.

"Everyone went inside for a Vegas styled buffet - which was incredible," says Sanchuk. "Then we did the raffle for the brand new Ford Mustang and 13 other trips."

Organizers say they're so happy with how the event turned out, they're looking forward to possibly hosting the event next year.
