Terry Fox Runs Sunday

The memory of Canadian icon Terry Fox will be honoured on Sunday around the world with their 36th annual run.

In Chatham-Kent there are events taking place in Chatham, Dresden, Wallaceburg, Tilbury, Blenheim, and Ridgetown.

"The participants that attend our run, and the service groups in our community just really get behind it," says Dresden run organizer Cindy Brewer.

Dresden raised over $41,000, making it the top run in Ontario per capita.

Chatham run organizer Adam Barton says the money raised goes to cancer research.

"[The] Terry Fox Foundation, their one of the highest rank national foundations, where 84-cents on the dollar goes towards that research goal, and not administration."
