The investigation continues following an explosion that has injured a number of people in a section of Manhattan.
The New York Post is reporting that a dumpster exploded at around 8:40pm on Saturday at 133 West 23 St. in Chelsea, blowing out the lower windows of a 14-story residence for the blind. They also say, shortly after the incident occurred police found a pressure cooker, wired to a cell phone just a few blocks away from the explosion.
The cause of the blast has yet to be determined but gas has been ruled out, according to CNN. They say about 29 people have suffered non-life threatening injuries.
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio made a public statement around 11pm and said, based on current indications, the explosion "was an intentional act." He also stated that "there is no evidence at this point of a terror connection" and there is no "credible and specific threat" to New York City.
