A Chatham business is on the receiving end of some provincial funding.
The Ontario government is earmarking just over $1-million to Dajcor Aluminum, from the Southwestern Ontario Development Fund.
Officials say the investment will allow the aluminum fabrication and extrusion company to invest in new state-of-the-art fabrication equipment, needed to explore new business opportunities.
Dajor says that includes things like providing components for light rail transit door assemblies, ventilation systems, LED light enclosures and high-end furniture tracks.
The funding covers up to 15% of the project's $10.2-million cost, and will support the creation of 35 new jobs.
The project is slated for completion by the end of 2018.
