Hot, sticky and humid weather is on the horizon.

Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent. They say temperatures will rise to 39 C (102 F) with humidity Thursday.

By Friday the weather agency isn’t reporting any humidity, but a high of 34 C (93 F) is in the forecast.

During the heat wave Environment Canada cautions to watch for the following symptoms:

  • Dizziness or fainting
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Headache
  • Rapid breathing/heartbeat
  • Extreme thirst
  • Decreased urination with unusually dark yellow urine

They also recommend checking on your neighbours who may be vulnerable and say never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle.
