Ultimate Rodeo Tour Rides Into Town Tonight

Crime Stoppers' biggest fundraiser of the year is once again taking the bull by the horns.

The Ultimate Rodeo Tour has raised thousands over the years for the Chatham-Kent chapter, and organizers are hoping tonight's two-hour show will be another success.

Event Coordinator Matt McGinty says tickets are $29 at the door, noting all money raised stays local.

"It's a great combination of family entertainment, as well as you get to help out a great local cause, which directly has an impact on your community," McGinty says. "It's just great to see everybody out there. We always have a big crowd."

The Rodeo rides into town at 6:30pm, but if you want a good spot, you better go early.

McGinty says last year the two-hour show captivated an audience of 1,100 people -- hailing from southwestern Ontario to Michigan and beyond.

He says it's quite an experience to see the riders compete.

"It's the world's most dangerous sport. These guys are extreme athletes, these are such powerful animals," he says, "and it's just such a great way to learn about the history of rodeo."

Gates open at 5pm under the water tower in Pain Court.
