Man Throws Water From Kettle At Woman

A 34-year-old Chatham man is facing a slew of charges after police allege he threw hot water from a kettle on a woman, threatened her with a baseball bat and then beat her.
Investigators say it happened yesterday morning, then the woman left the home to get away.
Later that same afternoon, police allege the man assaulted the woman again as well as her 27-year-old son, who was able to get away and call for help.
Just after 5pm the man was arrested. His name has not been released.
He faces charges of assault with a weapon, uttering threats and three counts of assault.
