Parade Of Chefs Helps Hospital

The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance has $50,000 more to put towards replacing their diagnostic imaging equipment.

This after their 14th annual Parade of Chefs at Club Lentinas on Thursday. The event saw local chefs from various restaurants in Chatham-Kent prepare a seven-course meal for the attendees. The guest of honour was food editor-in-chief for Canadian Living Magazine, chef Mike Ward.

The food was provided by chefs from the Chatham Breakfast House & Grille, Eat What’s Good, Harvest Moon Catering, Mamma Maria’s Ristorante, T-Bones Grill House, The Chilled Cork Restaurant & Lounge and Willow Ridge Golf & Country Club.  Wine and beer were also provided from local wineries and breweries, and served by CKHA physicians.

“As always, a sincere thank you to the participating chefs, wineries and breweries for their generous donation of time, talents and product to this year’s Parade of Chefs," says Foundation of CKHA Executive Director Michele Grzebien-Huckson. "I would also like to acknowledge the efforts of our CKHA ‘wine servers’, event volunteers, attendees, sponsors, donors and the local media – we are very grateful for your support.”

The foundation has raised over $3.7-million for the Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal Campaign to date.
