Cleanup is underway at the Starbucks coffee shop on Dougall Ave. near Cabana Rd. W in Windsor after a car slammed through the entrance late Wednesday afternoon.
Police responded to the scene shortly after 5pm on Wednesday to find a grey Chevrolet Malibu sitting in the entrance of the coffee shop, having smashed through the front doors.
"When I looked in, I could see a lady on the counter," says Cody Soulliere, a passerby in the area at the time of the crash. "She luckily must have just jumped back out of the way. We saw her on the counter and she was panicking a little bit, screaming."

The scene attracted plenty of attention from other people going about their daily errands.
"I can tell you the adrenaline was pumping as soon as we saw the smoke [coming from the car] we thought, 'ok maybe this could turn into a fire and these people won't be able to get out,'" says Soulliere.
The crash made quite the sound.
"The initial impact we could hear shattering glass and then she must have kept going because we could hear the tires spinning, so there was a little bit of squealing and we could hear the metal twisting," says Soulliere. "It was intense."
Soulliere says the female driver of the Malibu seemed a bit shaken.
"Definitely disoriented. When she got out of the car she kind of had this glazed look over her and she didn't really know what had happened," says Soulliere. "We kind of heard her talking to the police officer who responded and he had said, 'ma'am are you ok?' and she said, 'I was just looking around and next thing I know I was in here,'"
Officers on scene say the driver of the Malibu was sent to hospital to be checked for any injuries. None of the people in the coffee shop were hurt as a result of the crash.
