Machete Wielding Suspect Arrested On College Campus

An altercation involving a machete at the St.Clair College Thames Campus has ended in charges.
Chatham-Kent police say a man threatened a family member on Fergie Jenkins Parkway around 7:30pm yesterday.
Before police arrived the family member was able to disarm the man. The 27-year-old Dover Township man was transported to the Health Alliance for medical attention.
Charges include assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and uttering threats.
The man was released with a future court.
