A Chatham man faces a list of charges, including assaulting a police officer, following an altercation with a neighbour.
Police received a call shortly after 9pm yesterday about an assault on Orchard Heights. The victim says a neighbour entered his apartment uninvited, uttered threats, and assaulted him with a casserole dish.
As police were making the arrest, the suspect allegedly resisted and assaulted an officer. Concerned for the 18-year-old's physical and mental well-being the suspect was taken to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.
His charges also include unlawfully entering a dwelling house, assault, assault with a weapon, uttering threats, and mischief under $5,000.
