Investigators are calling a barn in the 1600-block of Mersea Rd. C in Leamington near Point Pelee a total loss after a raging fire on Tuesday night.
Authorities report no one was injured because of the fire, but damage is pegged at $300,000. Investigators weren't able to determine what sparked the blaze, but aren't deeming the fire suspicious.
The fire closed down Mersea Rd. C from Mersea Rd. 12 to Mersea Rd. 19 for several hours on Tuesday night.
Leamington fire crews were first to report to the blaze around 7pm on Tuesday. Firefighters from Kingsville and Lakeshore also joined in to help fight the flames while OPP controlled traffic in the area.
