Jennifer Jones Inspires Local Curlers

The level of competition has never been higher in women's curling and no one knows that better than Canadian Olympic gold medalist Jennifer Jones.

The world champion curler made a couple of appearances at the Chatham Granite Club this week.

"In order to win you have to be so much better than you used to," says Jones. "It's requiring us to train more, think outside the box, and fine tune our technical skills so that we can compete at the highest level."

While she isn't thinking about stepping away from competing at the highest level yet, Jones knows that she'll have to face some tough matchups if she wants to win another Olympic gold medal.

"I've committed to making another run and we'll see after that," says Jones. "There are other things I love doing and being a mom is at the top of the list."

During her stop in Chatham, Jones also spoke to members of the curling club's junior program and gave them some tips on how to improve their skills.
