Small Loans To Help Start-Ups

Aspiring entrepreneurs in Chatham-Kent who might not have the cash or the credit they need to start their own business will soon have another option.

Starting tomorrow, the Chatham-Kent Workforce Planning Board will be accepting applications for low interest loans of up to $5,000.

Project Manager Kristy Jacobs says they want to help people who are looking to start their own business.

"When you're looking at a micro-loan, you're not looking at a whole lot of money," says Jacobs. "You can't get a whole lot of inventory built up for $5,000, but a lot of service businesses would be able to do a lot with that."

You can download an application package from the Chatham-Kent Workforce Planning Board's website (www.ckworkforcedev.com) starting at 9am on October 26, 2015.
