The Chatham-Kent Police Major Crime Unit is appealing to the public for help as it investigates an assault in Wallaceburg.
Police say an unknown suspect broke into a residence on Elgin St. at around 1:45am this morning and viciously attacked a woman inside.
The 31-year-old woman had to be air lifted to a London hospital where she remains in stable condition.
