The Chatham-Kent Public Utilities Commission will be taking directions from a new General Manager next week.
Tim Sunderland is set to take the reigns from Tom Kissner, who will stay on the payroll as a consultant until the end of the calendar year.
Sunderland has been working with the Chatham-Kent PUC for the last five years, so he knows first-hand some of the challenges he will have to face.
"We're looking at the whole concept of regionalizing of systems and new technology that's being introduced in our industry," says Sunderland. "And of course, the whole issue of blue-green algae."
Sunderland will start in his new position on Monday, October 19.
