Provincial police are charging a Brampton man after a crash on the Hwy. 401 in Chatham-Kent that snarled traffic overnight.
OPP say the 42-year-old man was driving a tractor trailer in the westbound lanes of the highway when it left the roadway, crossed the centre median and the eastbound lanes and rolled into the ditch.
The driver was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and later charged with careless driving.
The Ministry of the Environment and Chatham-Kent Fire Department were also called to the scene to clean up a fuel spill that resulted from the crash.
