Weapons Charges Laid At Bridge

A 43-year-old Walpole Island man is facing numerous weapons charges as a result of an ongoing investigation by the OPP and Canadian Border Services Agency.

This past Friday, officers arrested and charged Randy Fabian Nahdee after a primary inspection by CBSA officers located firearms in a vehicle coming into Canada at the Blue Water Bridge.

Nahdee is facing 28 charges including:

  •  Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm (2 counts)
  •  Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm (2 counts)
  •  Importing a Firearm, Prohibited or Restricted Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition Knowing It Is Unauthorized (7 counts)
  •  Importing Components or Parts for Use in the Making of Automatic Firearms Knowing it is Unauthorized
  •  Unauthorized Importing of a Firearm, Prohibited or Restricted Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition (2 counts)
  •  Unauthorized Importing of Components or Parts for Use in Making of Automatic Firearms
  •  Transport Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition in a Careless Manner
  •  Occupant of Motor Vehicle Knowing There was Prohibited or Restricted Weapon (2 counts)
  •  Possession of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order (6 counts)
  •  Fail to Comply with Undertaking
  •  Fail to Comply with Probation Order
  •  Possession of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order
  •  Transport Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition in a Careless Manner
 

He'll appear in Sarnia court Monday, July 15 for a bail hearing.
